The Urban League is the nation’s oldest and largest community-based movement devoted to empowering African Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream.
 
The mission of the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League (MWUL) movement is to empower people of color to secure self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights.
 
 
The Young Professionals (YPs) is an auxiliary organization of the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League. As such, the Young Professionals are driven to promote the mission of its parent organization through community service and professional development.
